shucks. my brother just gave me the cute foldable stuffed cow cushion toy i've wanted for a long time. im awfully touched cos he actually remembered to get me a going-away present amidst preparing for his a's..

smile cow!! im a happy sister!! :D
have been doing some research on financial planning on my own. i like money and im lazy so stuffing money into a fixed deposit account is a lazy way to make some money haha! why are singaporean interest rates so darn low?!? UK interest rates are much much higher and im considering transferring some of my savings to my future UK HSBC flexible savings account, which has 2.6% interest, monthly payment; as compared to my singapore POSB account (0.125%) and a DBS fixed deposit one (0.75% for 24 mths). is it just me or are singaporean banks making a fortune ripping us off from high interest we would otherwise have from our savings? whatever happened to globalisation and hot money outflow and all those econs nonsense? is it because singaporeans save alot? my dad says it's a demand-and-supply thing but it just doesnt make sense!! im confused man :S shall go ask my banker uncle.
